The true cost of equal pay

Posted on 21 May 2014

Organisations often avoid the subject of equal pay, either because they 'don't want to open a can of worms,' are concerned about the arduous process or the costs involved in carrying out equal pay audits.

Furthermore, new laws regarding equal pay audits will come into force this October which outline that if an organisation has an equal pay claim upheld against them, they will be obliged to carry out an equal pay audit, disclosing the results to all those affected within the workforce. However, for proactive organisations there is good news; if a company has carried out a compliant equal pay audit within the previous three years, they will be exempt from a compulsory audit. Either way, it seems now it is more important than ever to make sure your organisation understands the risks associated with equal pay.

Innecto Senior Consultant and Director, Justine Woolf, tackles the issues surrounding equal pay in an update of her popular iView, which features updated legislation and equal pay statistics.
